KHALSA Double Trench Ridger is
useful for making of water running
row openings and ridger prior to
planting/sowing water running
operations. Specially useful for
sugarcane plantation and land
preparation time. It can also be used
for making small & big channels.

- In this method furrows are made with a sugarcane ridger about
304 mm deep & seed placement can be done by inclined tyne at the ?back with adjustable depth which line for seed placement. - The furrows are covered with 5-6 cm soil, leaving upper portion of ?furrows unfilled.
- Immediately after covering the setts water is let into furrows.
- This method is practiced in parts of eastern UP and in Peninsular India,
particularly in heavy soils.
