    sugarcane ridger about 10-15 cm deep in
    northern India and about 20 cm in south India.

    upper portion of furrows unfilled
    This method is practiced in parts of eastern UP
    and in Peninsular India, particularly in heavy soils.
  8. Fertilize placement helps in more germination of
    soil.
