GENERAL INFORMATION
The Conventional Sugarcane Planter with Multicrops on tyres is a state-of-the-art agricultural implement designed to fully mechanize the sugarcane planting process, ensuring higher efficiency, uniformity, and productivity for farmers. This machine integrates all critical operations involved in sugarcane plantation into a single-pass system, significantly reducing the time, labor, and cost associated with traditional planting methods.

FEATURE
- It is a tractor mounted planter.
- Planting process- One sugarcane seed stick planting from opening of the furrows, fertilizer placement in rows, cutting of sets automatically, seed treatment at cutting point, dropping of sets into the furrows with desired overlap, pressurized pesticide spray on the sets in the furrow (soil treatment) to covering of planted sets automatically in a single pass.
- It has PTO driven cutting and fertilizer placement units.
- Furrow openers – the planter has two-way mould board shaped furrower to open the furrows.
- Cane feeding mechanism – the operator feeds whole sugarcane manually and cutting of Setts automatically are carried out by rotating knives.
- Cane cutting knife – Diagonal blades (I shaped) are used to cut the cane at every 13 inches.
- Liquid tank -Soil Treatment sank is filled in front of tank & seed placement at the back of pretor & nozzles are fitted on the pipe from were the treatment is carried out and applied on area.
- Power drive the planter is drive by PTO, as well as multicorp unit by PTO through chain.
- Cost – Due to low labor and simplified power transmission system, cost of multipurpose planter is highly affordable as 2 crops are planted at one time.
- Capacity – its field capacity is about 45% higher than that of manual sugarcane planting.
- Sugarcane cutter planter saves about 70 per cent labour requirement as compared to conventional method.
